The PE.fiberoptics PMD4000 is the only broadband PMD test instrument in the industry that combines Interferometric, Wavelength Scanning and Biasing to offer the extended range of 0.002ps up to 85ps in a fully automated measurement system. The PMD4000 is remote control capable with integrated internal light sources and femtosecond resolution capability.
The unique PMD 4010 low PMD wavelength scanning option, extends measurable PMD in the 4000 series down to 0.05ps.

For even lower PMD resolution, we offer our CD337 option which enables laboratory PMD measurements as low as .002ps.

The system consists of a single unit incorporating the measurement system and a 1550nm broadband LED. Other optional light sources including 1310nm and 1620nm are also available. Control is from an external, PC compatible computer operating under the Windows 95/98™ operating system.
